**Support Worker (Floating Support)**

**The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Support worker in Bedford on a 4 month fixed term contract.

Clarence House in Bedford is our second homeless hostel. This purpose-built hostel has 29 self-contained studio apartments with a team of support staff available 24/7, including specialist support officers to assist residents with a range of complex needs. Your role will be a Floating support role, where you will be based out in the community and customers homes and also sometimes attending the service.

**Salary**: £23,303 per year

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm)

**Location**: Bedford (MK42 0AH)

Your responsibilities will include:

- Floating support in the community
- Caseload of up to 10 customers
- Key work sessions whilst in the service
- Outreach support where you will assist customers and promote independent living, including supporting with any housing/ tenancy issues, rent payments etc
- Working with and supporting a range of customers with various complex needs including mental health, homelessness, substance misuse
- Support to develop the necessary skills to live independently, and to access training, education, and work

- Possess genuine passion of making a real difference in people’s lives.
- Have experience and knowledge of safeguarding legislation including ability to recognize safeguarding issues.
- Have knowledge of the Housing Sector and One Housing Group’s activities.
- Have experience working within a similar support worker role
