Job Title: Trainee HGV Mechanic
This position would suit someone who is already doing mechanics and looking to further there skill set.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
- Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
**Skills**:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and HVAC
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and customers
