As an Accounts Finance and Administration Assistant (Maternity Cover Contract), you’ll offer previous accounts administration experience in a similar role, and communicate confidently and effectively as you will be working with a variety of amazing people from across our business.

You will be an experienced Excel user and offer strong numerical and problem solving skills, as well as being adept at financial systems and processes. As a proficient finance professional who isn't afraid of a challenge, you’ll enjoy our changing environment as we continue to grow at an impressive pace

**What will I be doing?**

No two days are the same at The BES Group. As an Accounts Finance & Administration Assistant you will support the Finance team to ensure the smooth running of day to day financial administration and information systems. You will liaise with customers and suppliers and maintain relationships within the wider organisation to achieve financial goals. Some of your key responsibilities include:

- Receiving and recording the receipt of invoices
- Processing invoices to make sure payments are correct and are made on time
- Requesting receipt of statements from invoicing contractors or businesses when they are not provided
- Matching and filing invoices and receipts
- Answering queries from suppliers, contractors and other business departments about accounts payable or payments made
- Distributing invoice copies to finance staff and other relevant departments
- Cash posting
- Bank Reconciliations
- Credit Card & Expenses processing
- Query resolution
- Any other ad hoc duties as required

**What experience do I need?**

You will offer previous accounts administration experience gained within a similar role, and ideally also have experience using a variety of finance systems. We are open to different levels of experience and backgrounds but to work for us you must have the right attitude, aptitude and appetite for what we do; Keeping Britain Safe. You’ll also:

- Offer previous administrative accounts experience
- Possess strong numeracy and problem solving skills, with the desire to learn new technical skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Expert attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet specific deadlines
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Ideally, you will also**:

- Have experience of using SAGE and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 finance system (desired)
