We are recruiting for an Interim Policy & Procedure Redesign Specialist on an interim basis to join our team based in Glasgow on a hybrid basis. This role will play a critical part in shaping and building Caledonian Sleeper’s business-wide policies and procedures.

Our existing policies are cumbersome and difficult to digest. As a Policy writer, you will be responsible for building, rewriting, and simplifying our Policies, ensuring consistent Caledonian Sleeper tone of voice is displayed throughout. Collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders is a fundamental part of this role, to ensure accuracy and alignment to relevant legal and regulatory compliance.

The role will report to our Head of Business Improvement, to deliver the Policy Redesign programme, in a timely and efficient manner. In terms of skill set and expertise we are looking for a strong blend of Business Improvement experience, with previous experience of developing policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of project management methodology

**Main Accountabilities**:
Be Caledonian Sleeper’s Policy writing specialist for all business-wide policies, deploying consistent Tone of Voice
Creation and management of Policy templates and documentation and templates
Effective collaboration and engagement with business stakeholders
Responsible for tracking the status of each policy
Leading the Presentation of Status reporting at Steering Committee level, being clear on what decisions are required
Effective communication with Head of Business improvement and wider business to ensure understanding of the programme progress, issues and risks
Managing changes as these occur during the phases of policy redesign
Supporting the preparation of governance material as required
Work with the Head of Business Improvement to identify priorities, successful best practice, and opportunities to improve through programme delivery
This is a Fixed Term role for 18 months
Flexibility is required as accountabilities may change as the business evolves

**What you’ll need to do the role**:
Highly organised & a Self-starter with an ability to work collaboratively
Excellent written skills, with demonstrable skill in simple, clear and concise writing
Creation, design and development of business wide policies
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate their message to influence at all levels
Skilled in the use of the Microsoft office suite; Microsoft Teams, Excel and Visio (Using excel to perform data analysis is critical element of role)
Committed to the highest ethical and professional standards
Ability to stay calm under pressure
