Overview:
As one of the leading multi-metal stockists, we pride ourselves on offering our customers a high-quality product with an exceptional service.

As a warehouse supervisor, you will be responsible for a small team, to oversee all aspects of the picking, packing, and loading vehicles at our Nottingham depot. You will report and work closely with senior management, who will also support you in making sure we're hitting our quality objectives and managing staff effectively.

As part of a small team, this position will be hands on so time will be split between office and shop floor.

Key responsibilities:
Assisting with picking, packing and loading of goods.

The leadership of a small team.

Ensure all company health and safety standards/policies are followed.

Ensure pre-shift checks are carried out.

Ensure all goods are picked/packed and loaded onto vehicles for next day delivery

Monitor staff performance and report to senior management.

Keyholding-responsibility for the alarming and locking up of site at the end of shift.

The training of new staff members (if applicable)

Ensure staff are working to correct standards and safe working procedures

Shunting HGV CLASS 2 vehicles into the warehouse for overnight storage (training to be provided)

The operation of counterbalance and reach forklift trucks (training provided if applicable).

Monitor and report on warehouse consumables.

Training in the use of our in house I.T system.

Qualifications / Experience:
Proven track record of managaing a warehouse team

Hands on approach to work

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong I.T skills

Forklift licences-counterbalance/reach

Working hours are 12 noon - 9pm with later finishes in busier periods.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 41.5 - 45 per week
