The post holder is responsible for the compilation and relief cover for the physical payment of Prisoner Wages, daily reconciliation of Prisoner Personal Cash (PPC) and the administration of the Prisoner purchasing facility. There are also diverse other tasks required of the post holder ranging from General Officer duties, to work on Prisoner Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) Phone systems, minute taking at various Business meetings and an expectation to cover other Finance & Admin roles during times of staff absence.- Responsibilities- Conduct the effective sourcing, purchasing and receipt of all stock into the Prisoner purchasing facility. This includes stock items and all aspects of sundry purchase from various Suppliers/Partners.- Post holder is required to draw together a weekly Wage spreadsheet to enable to physical payment of cash out to prisoner population, incorporating data from Wages, Prisoner Personal Cash (PPC) and Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) phone requests made the previous week.- Provide Payment of Prisoner Wages to the establishment population.- Responsible for uploading daily Prisoner Personal Cash (PPC) deposits, ensuring these reconcile with physical cash received, and for ensuring compliance with relevant Prisoner Personal Cash (PPC) guidelines.- Administration of establishment mail processes ensuring timeous organisation and distribution of general, privileged and confidential mail both internal and external.- Provide ad hoc assistance to the Finance Manager when required, commensurate with your role and level within the organisation.**Person Specification**
- Qualifications Requirements**Essential**:Minimum of two National 5 or equivalent qualifications including Mathematics and English, or relevant experience gained in a similar role/environment.- Experience Requirements**Essential**:Competent in the use of MS Office Packages specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook**Essential**:Experience of understanding and following policy and procedures.**Desirable**:Experience of stock control and using the EPOS system- Knowledge Skills Requirements**Essential**:Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.**Essential**:Ability to effectively prioritise workload to meet departmental and organisational deadlines.-
