Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator

We are looking to recruit a confident and motivated Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator to join our established Chartered Accountancy practice.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, based in Kilsyth, North Lanarkshire. Office based 100%.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Sage/Xero/Excel experience _**essential**_
- Previous bookkeeping and payroll experience _**essential **_(Minimum 1 year)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise workload
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Reliability, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Professional qualification such as AAT preferred but not essential.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- Maintaining bookkeeping records to trial balance
- Bookkeeping services using spreadsheets
- Sales and purchase ledgers - recording invoices, payments and reconciling
- Bank analysis and reconciliations
- Journal entries
- Preparation and submission of Vat returns
- Processing payroll and pensions
- CIS preparation and reporting

**Additional Information**:
Salary is circa £22,000 to £28,000 dependent on age and experience. Company pension. Support and training. Free on-site parking.
