Mayan Roofing Systems is a family-run company who invent, manufacture and distribute innovative roofing products. We are looking for someone to join our warehouse production team where the day-to-day can be exciting and chaotic, we are looking for someone that is willing to get stuck in to get the job done, whatever it may be that day.

HOURS : Mon - Thurs - 8am
- 4:30pm (half an hour lunch)

**EARLY FINISH ON FRIDAY -** 8am - 1:30pm

**Overview of Role**:
Located in our production room, the Ridge Manufacturer will work in the factory to build our range of products including RealRidge, half slate, verge and AmouredSlate, using preformed GRP, wet-laid GRP fibre glass and natural slate and stone, for the building and construction industry. You will work as part of a small team to ensure that products are manufactured to meet the demands of the customer and in accordance with the company quality standards. Working in an efficient and safe manner you will add to the overall productivity and profitability of the company.

**Main Job Purpose (Job Description)**:
**- Assembly operations within the fabrications department**:

- Manufacturing our ArmouredSlate Product, working with slate, GRP sheeting and adhesive. Process includes drilling, cutting slate and packing. Must have attention for detail and focus for production output.
- Machine operating including grinding and finishing and product inspection in accordance with quality standards.
- Cutting slate and stone on a saw and guillotine.
- Cutting various components - GRP sheeting, vents, chopped strand matt.
- Working with GRP resin, mixing up and laminating resin with chopped strand matt.
- Secondary operations using circular cutting blade/grinder, circular saw, abrasive cutting wheel.
- Sub-assembly of the relevant sub-components.
- Quality checking the product to ensure it meets the required standard
- Maintain a safe working environment for you and others, ensuring that company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times.

This list is not exhaustive. Other duties may be required to fulfil business commitments, such as:

- Loading, picking, packing and wrapping orders on pallets to be sent out.
- General warehouse tasks, cleaning up and assisting with R&D of new products.

Full training for the process and PPE will be provided.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:

- Hard working and efficient - able to concentrate on and complete the job in hand.

Ability to work towards production targets - Daily KPI’s will be set for work output once you are fully trained.
- Attention to detail and ability to provide high quality work output - care and attention is required when making our products.
- Ability to work independently when given a task and as a team when working towards a goal.
- Must be able to lift 20kg.
- Hard working ‘can do’ attitude.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to follow instructions to meet deadlines.
- Good communicator.

**Desirable**:

- Forklift Truck Licence (counterbalance).
- Willingness to work extra hours as required..

Pay: From £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
