What you will be doing
- Identifying potential new sources of supply or working within the existing supply chain to generate and complete enquiries based on specific project requirements.
- Negotiating with suppliers on commercial terms, quality, cost and delivery (QCD) requirements to secure best value which will meet or improve project performance targets.
- Managing supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships to ensure QCD stability, through regular expediting and monitoring.
- Providing support to Sales as required on new bid work and with Engineering to fulfil product change requirements and control in the supply chain.
- Maintaining purchasing data accuracy/integrity in company’s ERP system.

- Demonstrable experience in procurement, contract and supplier management activity ideally within a mechanical/electrical product and MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) environment.
- Be able to handle change resourcefully and stay focused on delivering purchase requirements.
- Be a problem solver and have the ability to achieve deadlines and targets.
- Have first class communication and influencing skills, both internally and externally at all business levels.
