Laboratory Cleaner

We are looking for an experienced domestic cleaner to join our residential Care home team to provide the very best care for all our residents.

As a member of our housekeeping staff you will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties throughout the Home to include all communal areas, hallways, resident’s rooms and associated en-suites facilities.

We require the applicant to work to a very high standard and to comply with current infection control guidelines.

All applicants will be required to respect the privacy and individual needs of our residents.

All applicants must demonstrate a caring nature with a keen attention to detail and show a great sense of pride whilst undertaking their duties so as to ensure that we always offer a warm, welcoming environment for all of our residents, their familiy, visitors and staff alike.

Any successful applicant for this role must demonstrate a previous cleaning experience, and a previous employment within a care setting is an advantage.

**The Responsibilities of a Domestic Assistant**:

- To follow and undertake all duties under the instruction and direction of the Home Supervisor and Homes Management.
- Ensure that all and communal spaces, resident rooms and ensuites throughout the Home are properly cleaned and maintained daily.
- Make sure that sufficient domestic supplies are maintained and restocked.
- Ensure that all the Homes equipment is well maintained and kept in good working order.
- Ensure that all reporting records are correctly completed and are kept up to date.
- Follow and abide good hygiene and cleanliness standards as set by the Home.
- Understand and ensure that the storage of all of the cleaning materials conform to the Home’s COSHH policy.
- Be able to inform the House Supervisor, Maintenance Dept. and care staff immediately of any faulty item that is identified during cleaning duties.
- Be able to undertake any other suitable tasks which may be assigned by the House Supervisor or Management.
- Must be reliable, punctual and organised individual.
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Must be a good teamworker with a genuine passion for working within a caring environment.
- To attend any relevant training courses throughout the year.
- Must have a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check and Adult First.

- Applicants are required to undertake some weekend duties

**Salary**: £10.00-£11.44 per hour
