**Accounts Clerk**
- Process all invoices and raise sales invoices
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Prepare control account reconciliations for purchase ledger
- Process supplier payments by BACS or one-off payments
- Enhance controls in place for processes and suggest improvements to the current processes and controls.
- Ensure customer accounts are fully reconciled on an on-going basis
- Liaise with customers regarding any disputed invoices
- Assist in the preparation of the daily cash books
- Provide cover to the Assistant Accounts Controller during periods of absence
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns

**Accounts Clerk**
**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications**:

- Demonstratable experience carrying out a similar Accounts Clerk position
- Confident using Microsoft Excel
- Track record of processing high volumes of invoices
- Ability to build good relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
- Strong problem-solving skills (daily occurrence through invoice queries)
- Ability to work well under pressure
