Trainee Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to join our Sales department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing estimates within requested time scales.
- Answering sales department incoming calls, as required.
- Checking specifications, preparing quotations and revising them as necessary.
- Raising front sheets/contract folders for new orders.
- Providing target information for new orders/contracts.
- Raising order acknowledgments.
- Maintaining quotations and the order database.
- Obtaining costs from Clark Door suppliers including freight forwarding companies for export quotes in order to prepare accurate quotations.
- Liaising with colleagues as necessary to prepare quotations.
- Liaising with Sales Engineers to pass on enquiries in a timely manner.
- Following appropriate training, carrying out surveys at local sites, if required.
- Assisting with marketing initiatives, as required.
- Developing the personal skills which will contribute to effective team-working within Clark Door and promoting quality and excellence in all dealings with customers.
- Putting forward ideas and strategies that will contribute to the company’s growth.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft programmes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- An ability to write clearly, logically and succinctly, translating complex information for consumption by a variety of audiences.
- Experience working in a busy customer-focussed environment.
- A hard-working and can-do attitude.

**Job Type**:Full-time, Permanent.

**Schedule**:Day shift Monday to Friday.

**Licence/Certification**: Driving Licence (preferred)
