We are seeking an Operational lead who can be responsible for and provide effective operational leadership across the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service two adult services (NHS Talking Therapies: Brighton and Hove and the Adult Wellbeing Service). Working in conjunction with our Service Manager, Clinical Leads and interfacing with CYP Service Leads, the post holder will ensure that we are providing a high quality, evidence based, integrated service. The post holder will have operational experience within a healthcare setting and will be able to use their initiative and take a positive, proactive and creative approach to delivering a high quality, efficient and effective service within limited resources.

Provide effective operational leadership, working with the Service Manager/other colleagues, ensuring we provide a high quality, evidence-based service within available resources.

Support /guide line management & staff supervision incl. supporting/managing sickness absence procedures as per Trust policies

Support service delivery within an agreed financial envelope ensuring maximum value in clinical & cost effectiveness

Ensure team functions align with divisional core business

Support in management of flow of referrals into appointments & work with key colleagues to identify problems & solutions to access & flow challenges

Respond to patient safety incidents & support subsequent investigation

Respond to complaints at a local level & respond to complaints logged with PALs

Line manage Admin Coordinator & be responsible for performance of the admin function

Line manage Workforce Coordinator & oversee Coordination of staff recruitment & selection in admin & adult clinical teams, leading on decisions as designated by Service/General Manager

Work closely with Brighton & Hove Wellbeing Service leadership team/other key stakeholders ensuring quality services are delivered, service improvement initiatives are implemented & projects align with agreed objectives

Work with the Service Manager/other key team members in sourcing & implementing accommodation solutions

Deputise in the absence of the Service Manager /other relevant colleagues as required

The client's experience of our service is paramount. We work to support clients in their recovery by offering evidence-based support and therapy which is delivered by therapists and clinicians who receive regular and supportive supervision and opportunities for continued professional development. The clinical teams are supported by an integrated administrative team who facilitate the patient's journey and experience through the service.

We promote service user involvement and have an established Adult Service User Steering Group which provides valuable input to our service design and delivery. We care about our staff, have a Staff-Wellbeing Forum, are developing wellbeing champion roles, and are committed to staff engagement. We know that our staff need to feel supported to be able to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

We are keen for our staff to have the space to develop in their roles and we embed this through monthly supervision, annual appraisals and appraisal reviews. Staff also have the opportunity to become involved in a range of activities, such as training, supervision and service development.
