**About the role**:
As the SEO Lead, you are accountable for strategy development, leadership and overall delivery of our SEO channel. You will be responsible for developing and executing the SEO strategy, across all areas of SEO (technical SEO, content and digital PR).

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with the customer plan and overall brand and customer strategy
- Manage and lead a team of SEO Partners, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance
- Oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of SEO campaigns - across all areas of SEO, content, tech and digital PR.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape, leveraging insights to drive innovative SEO strategies
- Collaborate with the content and creative team to develop engaging and visually appealing digital content that aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and insight to evaluate the effectiveness of SEO and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in SEO, and proactively recommend new strategies and tactics to drive growth.
- Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of SEO initiatives.
- Oversee the collaboration with the e-commerce team to optimise the customer journey, improve website user experience, and drive conversion rates
- Provide regular reports and presentations to leadership teams, highlighting key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations.
- Lead the team to deliver an ambitious performance plan and capability roadmap.
- Instil a culture of high performance and customer centric thinking across the immediate team and cross functionally.

**Essential skills you’ll need**:

- Proven experience in SEO, with a focus on e-commerce and retail environments.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO channels, strategies, and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of technical SEO and is able to explain complex technical SEO challenges to non-tech stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Comfortable in exploring opportunities to develop these into new projects
- Experienced at negotiating and confident making decisions
- Challenger mindset who consistently is looking to find incremental gains and uses innovation to drive the agenda
- Experience of reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans

**Desirable skills you’ll have**:

- Demonstrable understanding of full funnel marketing to influence customer behaviour
- Deep knowledge of SEO and martech ecosystem
