**Finance Administrator**
**Job Purpose **A key administrative role in the busy finance department to ensure the accurate process of purchase ledger invoices and other related duties.
In summary, the Finance Admin Assistant will be:
- Accurate, diligent, self-motivated and a with keen attention to detail
- Responsible for managing their own workload and working with mínimal supervision
- Flexible and able to assist in various roles within the department
**Location **Liverpool
**Key Responsibilities**
1 **Purchase Ledger**:
Material invoices are checked and processed as efficiently and accurately as possible as follows:
- Filing of purchase orders in numerical order
- Matching of purchase invoices against purchase orders ensuring all materials ordered match the order and coding purchase order and invoice with correct information
- Job Costing
- Efficient posting of purchase invoices on Vixen Accounts accurately
- Following Escalation processes
- All invoices to be entered to meet strict deadline dates
- Maintaining Excel Spreadsheets
- Issuing and recording Purchase order books
- Reconciling Statements
4 **Other**:
- Answering telephone - good telephone manner
- Assisting with any other duties that may arise within the finance department
- 5 Any other duties commensurate with the post
**Person Specification**
**Key Area Essential Desirable**
**Education, qualifications ** **General secondary education ** Further education
**and training ** **IT skills (NVQ etc.)**
**Work experience ** **Experience of volume/accuracy ** Experience in social housing
focused, busy finance department
**Technical / IT knowledge ** **Good knowledge of Microsoft ** Spread sheet design and data
Excel manipulation
- Good typing/keyboard skills **Have used Vixen Software accountancy programme**
**Additional competences ** **Ability to work alone ** Ability to present data in a variety
- Attention to detail of formats
- Enjoys working in a large team
environment
- Ability to work to deadlines
**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 8 weeks
**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
