Responsibilities:

- Install and repair various types of flooring materials, including carpet, tile, laminate, and hardwood
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Prepare surfaces for installation by removing old flooring, cleaning, and leveling the subfloor
- Adhere to safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of projects
- Follow schematics and blueprints to accurately install flooring according to specifications
- Inspect completed work for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a floor layer or similar role
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade
- Strong knowledge of different flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials as needed
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
