About the Role
**The role of an Early Years apprenticeship assessor is to support and assess individuals undertaking Early Years apprenticeship programmes. As an assessors you will play a vital role in ensuring that apprentices develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to work effectively in Early Years settings, such as nurseries, pre-schools, and Early Years settings.**

**An Early Years apprenticeship assessor plays a crucial role in guiding, assessing, and supporting learners on their journey to becoming skilled and competent professionals in the Early Years sector.**

What You Will Do

**Guidance and Support: As the apprenticeship assessor you will provide guidance and support to learners throughout their apprenticeship journey and offer advice on the learning process, provide feedback on work submitted, and assist in developing action plans for improvement. Regularly providing constructive feedback to apprentices helps them understand their strengths and areas for improvement**

**Individual Learning Plans: The assessor will work with apprentices to create individual learning plans tailored to their specific needs and learning styles. These plans outline the goals, objectives, and milestones of the apprenticeship.**

**Awarding Body Compliance: As an Early Years apprenticeship assessor you will ensure that all assessment activities align with the requirements and guidelines of the awarding body that oversees the apprenticeship program.**

**Record Keeping: Accurate and detailed record keeping is crucial for monitoring and tracking apprentices' progress. The assessor will be responsible for maintaining records of assessments, feedback, and any additional support provided to the learners.**

**Quality Assurance: As part of the quality assurance process, assessors will participate in standardisation meetings with other assessors to ensure consistency and fairness in the assessment process.**

**Safeguarding: Assessor's responsibilities also include safeguarding the welfare and well-being of the apprentices, ensuring they are in a safe and supportive learning environment.**

**Communication: Effective communication is essential in this role. As the assessor you will liaise with apprentices, employers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed about the progress and development of the apprentices.**

About You
- **You will need to possess excellent commun**ication skills**, have confidence and be able to build an engaging learning relationship with students to motivate them to achieve to the best of their ability.**
- **A passion and ability to inspire and motivate people**
- **Recent teaching or instructing experience which demonstrates active learning and differentiated teaching styles.**
- **Ability to be adaptable and flexible towards the requirements of different learner needs.**
