**The role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerk of Works to join the University’s Capital Projects Team which carries responsibility for the delivery of construction projects ranging from £50k to £50m plus.

Working as part of a successful, highly motivated and professional team within a new ‘Campus Development’ directorate, you will be able to contribute to the development of the University at a time of major opportunity. **What will you be doing?**:
You will be responsible for the inspection of works carried out as part of a substantial development and refurbishment programme. You will assist in the design stages, attend design team meetings as requested, attend pre-start and progress meetings as requested, oversee the construction process to ensure quality levels are met, manage completion and occupation to defined timescales.

You will have experience of working with multi-disciplinary project teams on technically complex construction projects and be able to assist the team to achieve the University’s ambitious requirements.

You will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure and have broad experience of various construction trades. You will have an enthusiastic and collaborative approach and be comfortable in communicating and negotiating at all levels as well as possess the drive to assist delivery of projects on time, within budget and in accordance with the scope of work.
