We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Yard Supervisor to work at our MRF site in LE3, Leicester. You would be assisting the Supervisor in ensuring the correct loading and offloading of bales as well as maintaining Health & Safety in the yard. The shifts start at 5:45am and finish at 18:15pm. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Help supervise the Operational Staff to ensure production activities meet business objectives.
- Monitor performance, delegate tasks and complete assessments.
- Keep the Yard Supervisor updated on performance.
- Use a variety of mobile plant including Forklift Trucks, Clamp Trucks and Shovel Loaders.
- Supervise the loading and off loading of containers, flatbed lorries and curtain side lorries whilst ensuring the material is of the correct quality.
- Ensure mobile plant equipment is clean and in good working order whilst keeping documentation.
- Keep paperwork up to date and report any defects.
- Maintain housekeeping on site.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
- Ensure aspects of Operational and noise management plans are adhered to
- Supervise weekend shifts and ensure good communication is maintained at all levels.

**Essential Criteria**
- Valid Forklift Truck Licence with previous experience of using mobile plant equipment.
- Be able to think creatively with the ability to use your own initiative.
- Good attention to detail with an eye for quality.
- Ability to lead and motivate others.
