- The base location for this role is flexible however as a Head Office role travel to Greggs House, Newcastle upon Tyne will be required at times
What you'll do
The Supplier Technologist Team are responsible for the approval, monitoring and management of 3rd party suppliers of food products and ingredients as well as storage and distribution sites, ensuring that food safety and legality are upheld.
You will support the Supplier Technologist Team primarily in the desk based activities which include.
- Being responsible for maintaining approved supplier list for food and services ensuring the accuracy of data.
- Reporting on suppliers 3rd party food safety certification.
- Trending and analysis of supplier non conformances
- The mapping of supply chains using our 3rd party partner software platform
- Analysis, trending and reporting of industry issues impacting food safety, intregrity and legality.
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
- Are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
- Have a minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing or central food retail operations
- Have recognised qualifications in HACCP and Food safety at minimum level 3.
- Can multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescales
- Have advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Are self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiative
- Enjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results together
- Are supportive of an inclusive culture - recognising and valuing that difference is good
