Operations Supervisor who solid team leadership, management, customer service / client support, organisational and communication skills is required to manage the day-to-day activities of a busy Warehouse / Depot based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

If you’ve managed warehouse / depot or transport and logistics teams, then great. If not, that’s fine too. However, you will need a solid management background with the ability to use Microsoft Office to carry out a range of administrative / reporting tasks associated with the role. You will also need excellent customer service / client support and excellent time-management skills.

**SALARY**: £28,567 per annum + Benefits (see below)

**LOCATION**: Wakefield, West Yorkshire (100% on site in Wakefield)

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent

**WORKING HOURS**: Any five over seven days between 06:00 to 22:00hrs (shift times to be discussed during interview)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Operations Supervisor who solid team leadership, management, customer service / client support, organisational and communication skills.

Working as the Operations Supervisor you will manage a team of up to 25 staff members, consisting of Warehouse Operatives, Third Party Agency Staff and the Team Administrator.

As the Operations Supervisor you will also liaise closely with commercial clients to ensure they receive a first-class service. You will also be responsible for regular reporting and producing any other documentation required as part of the role. You will have the support of the Team Administrator who will report into you.

You will also be required to manage service levels, whilst actioning opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

DUTIES

**Your duties as the Operations Supervisor include**:
Managing and motivating a team to maximise productivity and minimise costs

Managing initiatives and projects that impact efficiency

Ensuring daily/weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) are maintained

Developing work practices in order to improve efficiency

Ensuring contract deadlines are met

Communicating and implementing change

Pro-actively managing staff discipline

Complying with health and safety in accordance with company policies

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Great management and team leadership skills

Strong communication skills (both verbal and in writing)

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent attention to detail

Good IT skills (Microsoft Office). Any warehousing systems experience desirable

Innovative, positive and pro-active approach to change

Demonstrable experience with significant SKU profiles, handling high volume data and inventory management

Ability to perform under pressure and use initiative to organise own workload

Self-motivated and results-driven

Customer focused

Flexible approach to work and able to work with changing demands (including shift patterns)
