I am working on behalf of a local primary school who is looking for a friendly & supportive Teaching Assistant to join their team for 6 weeks starting in Term 4. You will be working full time, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm. During this role you will beworking in their Nurture Provision which is for KS1 children who may be behind, struggle to be in a class setting and some with mild behavioural issues. You will be working 1:1 or with small groups, helping them complete tasks & work set by their teacher.

You will be helping them with their reading, this may involve reading to them, their spelling tests & also helping to improve their numeracy skills by participating in activities / numeracy games.

You will need to be someone who is patient, kind & supportive. You will need to have excellent written & verbal communication skills, you will need to communicate well with the children to help them understand instructions & help their speech development.You will also be communicating with the class teachers, LSAs and other Teaching Assistants. You will need to be able to manage challenging behaviour in a calm & positive manner.
- What the primary School is looking for:_

The Head Teacher would like to find someone who can be dedicated & committed for 6 weeks to support their children who are needing additional help. There aim is for these children to enjoy their learning journey & be able to go back into a group settinginto the classroom.
