The Meath’s beautiful Grade II listed manor house, together with our high-needs facility, Bradbury House, and the Meath Skills and Enterprise Centre, are all set in landscaped grounds. A few minutes’ walk from the centre of Godalming and a stone’s throw from Godalming railway station. We are in a superb location, affording easy access to local amenities, whilst also offering peace and tranquility as required.

Maintaining Meath vehicles in line with current regulations, coordinate and be responsible for organising the transport diary, take residents and staff off-site to appointments, other services and outings. Plan and carry out essential collections and deliveries as required. Support and assist in routine small tasks and planned maintenance requirements.

**Your duties as a Driver, will include, but not be limited to**:

- To efficiently co-ordinate The Meath’s transport and vehicle checks and vehicle maintenance schedule. To assist and liaise with Properties team to ensure key routine required maintenance is completed in a timely manner.
- To drive residents to their daily activities and assist with unloading or loading at the drop off venues, including the safe passage of residents from the vehicle to the relevant meeting point.
- To liaise with unit staff to ensure the daily schedule runs smoothly, i.e. that the correct vehicle is assigned for the relevant activity.
- When required, drive residents and their support workers to GP and hospital appointments, both locally and in London.
- Liaise with the Estates Manager if medications require collection or return to the local pharmacy.
- To be personally responsible for keeping vehicles clean and presentable and to report any defects.
- Responsibility for driving during group trips - some flexibility will be required during seasonal events.

**Essential**:

- To hold a valid Full UK Driving License (minimum of 2yrs)
- Willing to train and learn regulation requirements in property maintenance.

**Desirable**:

- Previous employment in driving adults with learning difficulties.
- Aware of the local area and roads.
- Basic knowledge (and 1yr experience) of general maintenance task such as home style DIY

Pay: £12.85 per hour
