In recent years we have expanded our reach from being a locally based Hampshire charity to now delivering across nine UK police forces. Earlier this year, our work featured in a BBC documentary called Home Truths, exploring Ian Wright’s experience of domestic abuse as child.

This is an exciting time for the organisation with potential to expand our interventions in other areas of the country.

**Job Title**: Caring Dads Practitioner

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Salary**: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum dependent on experience

(pro rata if part-time)

**Base**: Ashurst / Colocation venues, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, and
surrounding areas

**Contract**: Full time.

The Caring Dads Practitioner will improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. This will include promoting the service to a range of social work teams across Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight to generate programme referrals. You will work closely with Hampton Trust domestic abuse perpetrator service to identify client suitability for the Caring Dads programme.

As the Caring Dads Practitioner, you will be required to deliver the Caring Dads programme and Hampton Trust ADAPT programme. This includes one to one support and group work. You will undertake treatment and risk assessments of domestic abuse perpetrators. This includes active case/risk management of families living with domestic abuse. Although this position is based in Ashurst, you will be co-located into social work teams across Hampshire three days per week, with an aim to providing support and advice in identifying suitable families for the Caring Dads programme.
