Scottish Water has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our East Networks Team in Dundee area as a Network Service Operator.

About the Role:
To provide support within customer and network services dealing directly with customer enquiries and network operations to identify and resolve any water supply problems ensuring code of practice and internal standards are always met.

Key Accountabilities/Tasks:
Liaising with internal and external customers to identify and rectify and problems/issues

Operating and managing the water networks including valve shut off, identifying bursts, maintenance of valves/pumping stations.

Prioritising and organising activities required in the networks e.g., allocating work to functions, when work should be completed.

Advising customers on bylaws, codes of practice, and Scottish Water policies.

Collecting, updating relevant computer systems, and reporting on internal and external customers issues/problems including issuing letters/notices for shut off, task requests, sample letters, customer technical requirements, purchase orders, GIS drawing updates.

Conducting sampling on new mains, bursts, and water treatment failures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Co-ordinating and providing support during emergencies and incidents.

Working with Salesforce for Bursts/Customer complaints

Conducting Complex and Non-complex DOMS IAF

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:
- To comply and promote Scottish Water’s health and safety policy and to comply with statutory obligations.- Knowledge of DOMS policies and procedures and an understanding of Hygiene Code of Practice- Familiar with the issue of Access/Transfer Certificates and Reviewing RAMS- Ensure SW standards are met- Promoting Safe working- Be part of the Dundee standby rota and support during incident and emergencies.- Dealing with direct customer enquiries- To collect information and report on internal and external customer/ network issues, update relevant computer systems- Help Identify/promote assets requiring investment- Written and verbal communication skillsDue to the nature of our customer focused business, you will also be required to participate in a standby rota

What You’ll Get

Salary scale: £24,741 - £35,566 depending on skills and experience
