Overview:
We are currently looking to appoint Extrusion Operators for our Heanor site. The purpose of the role is to ensure dedicated machines run with mínimal scrap and downtime while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:
Experience of working within a manufacturing environment

Experience of H&S issues within a manufacturing environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to work unsupervised and be able to use own initiative

Desirable:
Experience of extrusion operating in a recycling or the plastics industry (Blown Film)

Some mechanical knowledge of plastics processing machinery

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain High Health and Safety standards at all time. - This will include wearing appropriate PPE for the tasks being carried out.
- Plan workload in advance with other team members to ensure sufficient materials are available for current and future manufacturing orders
- Check Correct materials and blending system is correctly set up in accordance with job card specifications
- Perform running adjustments on the machines in order to Maintain optimum output and reduce scrap levels
- Diagnose process issues and take corrective action
- Input production / Quality data onto production records
- Ensure full Compliance to all relevant Quality Procedures
- Identify faults and carry out basic maintenance activities.
- Maintain High Housekeeping standards
- Report all Quality, H&S, Production and Maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Pack products as per Job Card specifications
- Move finished goods accordingly.

Starting rate £13.08 increasing to £14.61 after 6 month probation period. Potential to increase to a skilled rate of £16.14 and multiskilled rate of £17.25
