Brysons has been baking from its home in the heart of Keswick since 1946, and now services five of its own shops and tearooms aswell as wholesale customers from the surrounding area.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Accounts Assistant to join our team in Keswick.

As a valued member of the team, you should have experience of working within a similar role, processing high volumes, working well under time pressure, with high accuracy and an organised approach.

**PROCESSES**

1. Processing invoices, matching to goods received notes and querying differences.

2. Ensure invoices/expenses are fully authorised for payment and within the relevant payment terms.

3. Reconcile supplier statements for the month ensuring figures are updated in time for each month end, requesting copy invoices and following up on any debt chasing letters.

4. Weekly payment of suppliers within their terms.

5. Allocation of payments and receipts from Xero to the purchase and sales ledgers.

6. Issuing of monthly customer statements. Running aged debt report and chasing for payment when required

7. Opening and distributing the mail

8. Running the weekly payroll (training to be provided if needed) and maintaing the employee files.

9. Adhoc analysis and running of reports from Xero.
- Should have experience of purchase ledger, processing expenses, supplier statement reconciliations and invoice authorisation
- Should have worked on computerised accounting systems and possess good MS Office skills including Excel. Full training on Xero would be provided.
