R13 are currently working alongside an established education provider in their search for an **IT Technician** to provide high level support across multiple sites. Working alongside the IT Services Manager you will be maintaining the network infrastructure and other IT services of the schools within the trust, providing support and guidanceto staff and handling any IT related queries.

The role would suit an experienced Technician or a recent graduate as a new entrant to the profession. You will be working in a highly supportive and friendly environment.

**Please note a UK driving license will be essential as you will travel to different sites.

**Duties to include**:

- Maintaining network infrastructure and other IT services of schools within the trust.
- Handling any IT related queries that arise and resolving problems quickly and efficiently.
- Providing on site IT support to all students, staff and stakeholders.
- Providing remote IT support where necessary.
- Installing and testing all software/hardware.
- Maintaining IT information held on the trusts asset management software.
- Accurately logging any IT related problems.
- Assisting the schools in making the best use of technology available to them and work in partnership with the Trusts IT team to develop and nurture IT provision.

**You will have/be**:

- Proven experience in a similar IT Support position would be ideal.
- Strong IT knowledge including Microsoft Office suite, Windows, WAN and internet topologies.
- A logical thinker.
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with end users to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- The ability to prioritise your workload and to work autonomously.
- Educated to secondary school level.
- Qualifications in the following would be desirable but NOT essential; business information technology / business systems engineering / computer networking and hardware / computer science / computer software development / information technology

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Norfolk, working Monday to Friday. The offered salary for this position is £22,000 - £24,000 dependant on experience.
