Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will work as part of a small team taking responsibility for the parent company and that of 2-3 small subsidiary businesses.
- Management of Company Purchase and Sales Ledgers
- Posting invoices, credit and debit notes on purchase ledgers and sales ledgers
- Posting journals and corrections to the ledgers
- Reconciling all bank accounts and posting transactions to reconcile
- Reconciling all company credit cards and expenses analysis
- Analysis of all bank and credit card reconciliations at the end of month
- Analysing VAT and VAT Reclaim for cost centres
- Allocating and reconciling payments and receipts on systems
- Nominal and VAT analysis and coding for ledgers
- Expenses analysis and ensuring correct nominal coding
- Posting and dealing with all the monthly branch baking
- Assisting Finance controller with any ad-hoc duties e.g. fixed assets, petty cash

Applicants will have experience gained within a similar role and ideally have worked across Purchase, Sales and General ledgers in the past.
The ability the work within a busy and fast paced environment and a willingness to take on additional tasks from the Financial Controller is key.
A good level of IT Literacy is also key, to include MS Excel, however training can be given on the bespoke accounting system.
In return, a challenging and progressive role with a basic salary of up to £28,000 and excellent benefits can be offered.
