**Job Role: Transport Planner**

**Location: Hinckley**

**Working hours: 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM**

**Salary - £30K-£36K + bonus**

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize transport experience/knowledge to efficiently plan and manage loads with hauliers and subcontractors.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the business in the capacity of a 4PL (4th Party Logistics) company.
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate effectively with hauliers and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination of transportation services.
- Work collaboratively with the team and participate in training sessions on pricing and negotiation techniques.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in transport planning or a related field is required
- Demonstrated drive and commitment to contribute to the growth of the business.
- Confidence and excellent communication skills, as the role involves approximately 80% phone-based interactions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maximize opportunities and build positive relationships.

**Other information**
- Bonus scheme in place, paid quarterly based on hitting targets.
- 22 days of annual leave.
- Occasional on call duties (once every 5 weeks)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
