**Indirect Reports**: Line Operators and Line Setters

We currently have the exciting opportunity to join our clients team within pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role will see you managing a team on the production line to ensure maximum efficiency and safety throughout the manufacturing process. The role is purely nights working Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am.

**Principal Objectives**:

- Effective allocation of staff and machinery to ensure that the output of the Packing hall meets the demands of the production plan, and the capabilities of the machinery and staff.
- Ensure all operations and documentation are compliant with the GMP standards for the Packing hall.
- Management of staff attendance and training to ensure the maximum manpower is available with the skills and competencies to execute the functions of the Packing Hall in accordance with the standards defined by GMP.
- Return to work interviews with staff
- To cover for the M&PH Manager as required, depending on training and experience

**General Principles**
- To assess staff availability and allocate to specific tasks on a day-to-day basis which will meet the production plan and anticipated sales or stock levels.
- Ensure that products are packed in a timely manner once it is released to fill, through efficient management of the Line Leaders and Line Setters following the respective SOP’s for each operation.
- All staff performing operations are fully trained, or are undergoing formal training under supervision: all training is documented in a timely manner for each operation. Sufficient contingency training is completed to cover immediate staff shortages at each level.
- SOP’s are present and current for all operations within the Packing hall.
- Work with QC IPC to ensure product quality is the highest standard achievable.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- To work with the M&PH Manager to achieve the efficient and compliant operation of the Packing Hall to meet the demands of the production plan.
- To establish and maintain performance measures for the Packing hall operation that may be used as key indicators for the area.
- To direct, control and motivate staff in your Department.
- To delegate effectively to the Line Leaders and Line Setters to ensure the responsibilities are understood and the quality of work is maintained.
- To track and record day to day staff absences
- To actively promote Health Safety and Environmental practices within the Department. Ensuring the Health and Safety guidelines are adhered too.
- To assist staff recruitment and assessment from new starters to the development of longer serving staff.

Specific Responsibilities (continued)
- To actively participate and/or lead projects with the Production Manager
- To assess the current operation of the Packing Lines and propose changes and/or modifications to increase the output or quality of the operation.
- To mange the Packing Hall housekeeping to ensure the area is clean and tidy so that no risk of contamination build up and/or safety issues may arise
- To manage/assess the safety standards in the Packing Areas and look the improve the standards
- Perform appraisals and define objectives to subordinates
- To participate in any other tasks that are deemed a priority for the site by the Production Manager that you are able and trained to perform.
- To ensure the Packing hall is inspection ready with the minimum of notice.
