**Commercial and Personal Lines Claims Handler**
**Salary: £20,000 - £28,000 per annum**
**Location: Coventry, West Midlands**
**Position: Permanent, Full-time**

Look no further, our client has a fantastic opportunity to join their claims team of experienced insurance professionals.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- To carry out all claim’s procedures in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the Office Manual.
- To ensure the confidentiality of all the businesses and client’s documentation and information.
- Deal with all client enquiries to the Business’s client care standard, in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Demonstrate an understanding of all the business’s products and services.
- Process new claims and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Inputting and Updating the Claims Management System.
- Negotiating, settling, or repudiating claims when required.
- Liaising with insurers and policy holders to obtain information to manage claims.
- Achieve targets, objectives and standards as set by the business.
- Maintain and improve profitability for the business.
- Attend training and departmental meetings as required.
- Review working practices and look to improve existing procedures and systems.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with own team, other departments, branches, and external companies.
- Assist with coaching and training of colleagues as required.
- Always demonstrate and maintain professional conduct, portraying the Business in the way requested by the directors.
- Carry our all duties to a consistently high standard for the benefit of the business and its employees.
- Always demonstrate motivational qualities.
- Assist all departments with internal queries.
- Ideally to have 1 to 2 years of personal or commercial lines experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the personal and commercial lines insurance market.
- Ability to negotiate & settle claims using a variety of methods in line with TCF and Client requirements.
- Ideally have excellent communication skills which includes verbal, written, listening and negotiation, having the ability to communicate at all levels.
