The Air Ambulance Service provides two very important functions, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children’s Air Ambulance which provides paediatric transfers across the UK. Our objective is to save lives, utilising specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics and with our work centred on saving lives, improving clinical outcomes and being able to react quickly and efficiently to emergencies.

**JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Legacies and In Memory Manager, you will implement the in-memory giving strategy, co-ordinate all activity in relation to in memory giving and complete ad hoc tasks as necessary

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

As requested by the Legacy and In Memory Manager, to undertake the following duties and responsibilities.

**In Memoriam Fundraising**
- To be responsible for delivering income across the in memoriam income stream in line with overall strategic objectives, and within expenditure budgets.
- To review and improve our online presence in terms of in memory giving to drive more donors towards our in tribute page, increase the proactive in mem donation line and improve engagement with in mem donors.
- Build and nurture sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing supporters and other stakeholders to enhance the reach and value of in memoriam fundraising. Attend supporter events to supplement fundraising efforts.
- To recruit volunteer in mem secretaries and to make sure that all current and new recruits are trained effectively within their role.
- To undertake competitor research into in memory giving campaigns and events to offer our own initiatives, whilst also researching areas of development with Funeral Directors to grow our network.
- Manage and develop in mem donor relations and stewardship, introduce a communication programme to enhance the in mem supporter journey.
- To raise awareness of In-Memoriam giving both internally and externally to include partnerships with funeral directors, crematoriums through both direct marketing and external awareness.
- Organise key related events, as directed, and to work collaboratively with the fundraising team and the marketing and communications team as well as other departments to deliver seamless internal and external communications using all the marketing channels available.
- Develop strategic marketing and communication plans to create successful supporter journeys from considerer all the way through to legators, including identifying ways to enhance the reach and value of in memory fundraising at our charity.
- Regularly evaluate the success of our in memoriam fundraising strategies and make suggestions for ongoing improvement and growth.

**General assistance to the Legacies and In Memory Manager**
- Provide assistance with the organisation of the supporter thank you events such as researching venues, keep a file of all booking forms, and maintain guest lists and follow up with guests. Attend events and assist with the logistics and supporter engagement.
- Ensure all donor information and activities are logged on the charities database according to data compliance regulations and the Fundraising Code of Practice.
- Provide general assistance to the Legacies & In Memory Manager as and when required with projects requiring administrative tasks or research.
