It’s the perfect opportunity to join a proud company that serves the northwest with three garden centres. You’ll provide refreshment for visitors and expand your skills as a head chef.

40 hours per week, Permanent Position
£12.50 per hour
5 days a week, 8.30am-5pm, one Sat or Sun each week**
J Parker’s Garden Centres started out as a mail order bulb business in 1933. Since then they have expanded into three garden centres in Flixton, Mottram and Anwick, providing excellent customer service at competitive prices.
They are looking for a **Head Chef** to help run and manage the Meadows Coffee Shop at their Flixton garden centre.
As their Head Chef, your duties will include:
- Running and managing the kitchen and coffee shop floor.
- Checking staff hours for wages.
- Creating staff rotas.
- Monthly stocktaking.
- Rotation of stock.
- Ordering and checking in stock.
- Preparing fresh ingredients.
- Cooking of all menu items to a set standard, as well as daily specials.
- Baking fresh cakes and scones (training provided if necessary).
**About You**
J Parker’s Garden Centres are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organise the kitchen and manage a hardworking, committed team, ensuring high quality food and drink is for sale to customers.
The ideal **Head Chef** will:
- Have proven experience as a Head Chef
- Possess exceptional ability of kitchen management
- Be able to divide responsibilities and monitor progress
- Optimise kitchen processes
- Have health and safety awareness
