Your responsibilities encompass delivering specialist training, chairing formal meetings, offering expert advice, managing compliance frameworks, responding to data protection events (incidents and disclosure requests), driving Continued Professional Development as well as supply chain monitoring.

Your expertise and dedication contribute significantly to our clients' compliance efforts and the success of our consultancy.

Your Responsibilities

**Specialist Training**: Deliver specialist training sessions for our clients on compliance-related topics, ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and up to date. Monitor and report on comprehension and engagement.

**Formal Chairing of Meetings**:Chair formal, comprehensive meetings. Facilitate discussions, decisions, and actions related to compliance issues. Ensure framework items, actions, updates and AOB are raised consistently.

**Specialist Advice**: Provide expert advice and guidance to our clients and internal colleagues on data protection matters, interpreting regulatory requirements, and recommending best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.

**Management of Events**: Managing workstream specific events such as incidents and disclosures. Manage the event from start to finish, produce strong documentation / evidence and liaise with regulators as appropriate.

**Implement and oversee specific compliance frameworks**: Oversee more than one compliance framework for our clients, including developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, policies, and procedures tailored to their specific needs and objectives.

Use Kafico checklists and templates to provide consistent evidence of assessment and compliance. Report regularly to the customer and internal stakeholders in relation to compliance figures, successes and blockers.

**Manage Supply Chain**: Perform and report on due diligence, contract reviews or Technical and Organisational Measures (T&Os) as appropriate. Monitor noncompliance and report to customer base.

**Risk Management / Risk Registers**: Overseeing risk management processes and maintaining comprehensive risk registers for our clients. This involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with regulatory compliance, operational activities, and strategic initiatives.

**Self-Driven CPD and Shared Learning**: take charge of own continuous professional development (CPD), staying updated on regulations and industry trends independently. Engage in shared learning with colleagues and customers, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

**Producing Formal Briefings**: delivering formal briefings to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams on compliance-related topics. These briefings will involve communicating complex regulatory requirements, policy changes, and best practices in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that all information is sourced from authoritative and reliable sources.

Essential Criteria
- Degree in law OR
- Professional certifications in information governance and data protection OR
- At least 2 yeats experience in a consulting role with a focus on data protection
- Able to chair and produce minutes for formal meetings.
- Experience in providing data protection advice and support.
- Experience in managing incidents
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
- Experience in public sector
