As the Contract Operations Manager you will have overall responsibility for the customer interaction for the Markham Vale 2 operation.You will maximise site operational performance by providing leadership, managing customer requirements and ensuring that the strategic plan (which you will be expected to have input into) is implemented effectively. You will strive for continuous improvementand suggest new innovative ways of working which could help to exceed the company’s expectations and contractual terms.

Day to day responsibilities forthe Contract Operations Manager will include:

- Taking ownership of customer issues and following potential problems through to resolution
- Ensuring that all contractual customer KPI’s are met and/or exceeded
- Managing and maintaining the relationship between the depot and the customer based on site
- In conjunction with the GM, ensuring that accurate financial targets are both set and met, and delivering improved financial performance through effective cost management
- Managing the bonded requirements associated with the client’s needs
- Coordinating and motivating the warehouse team members to ensure effective operational performance and ensuring workloads are achieved in a time sensitive operation
- Managing team attendance, performance, productivity and accuracy levels, as well as proactively addressing any disciplinary matters that may arise
- Coordinating and developing site training plans to meet customer demands
- Ensuring best customer experience at lowest possible cost
- Continuously tracking and analysing indicators of customer satisfaction to improve services
- Managing the compliance of the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements
- Management of site facilities, ensuring all hygiene and safety policies and procedures are in place and adhered to

**Qualifications**
- Have a proven track record at this level within the 3PL sector, ideally managing large teams within a FMCG environment
- Possess above average enthusiasm and commitment, with the ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Have a demonstrable track record in managing high volume, high service driven warehouse operations
- Have experience of CIP, ideally including formal programmes such as Kaizan, Six Sigma and Lean
- Financially astute and commercially aware, with the ability the challenge where necessary
- Have a thorough understanding of bonded warehouse, management, requirements and dynamics would be advantageous
