Kitchen Assistant - we require a kitchen assistant to work alongside our kitchen team of head chef and assistant. We are looking for someone to work over the weekend period from Friday - Monday.

**Duties**:

- Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
- Help with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Assist in setting up and organizing catering events
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required - we would consider having a keen apprentice
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

The Kings Head is a 16th Century Pub that has spent the last 5 years establishing a great food reputation of fresh and value for money food. We have a great team that work front of house and in the kitchens - we are looking for an assistant that is keen and willing to be adaptable and part of a friendly team. Please note that this position may require standing for long periods of time.

Part-time hours: 37 per week

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour
