An opportunity has arisen for a premises manager to join a small, local academy near Bromley in Southeast London. The school is well established with five other successful primary academies in the area and more than 50 academies in total in and around London.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure the effective management, organisation and supervision of all matters relating to, and all staff involved with, the Academy premises.

**Key Requirements**
- Supervision and monitoring of work performed by all staff involved in maintaining the Academy in a good state of repair and cleanliness, including cleaning staff. Where necessary produce reports and take responsibility for the organisation and prioritisingworkload.
- The inspection of premises and the identification of those areas which require attention either in the long or short term.
- Ensuring that the relevant Health and Safety guidelines are observed in conjunction with the Resources Director, and that immediate action is taken where possible to avoid injury or damage. Informing the Estates Manager and Resources Director of any defector actions which may place at risk staff, pupils or visitors to the Academy.

**Key Skills**
- educated to A Level or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
- Experience working with a range of Art and/or Design Technology equipment and resources.
- Experience or solid understanding of working as a technician in a school or educational establishment, undertaking a range of practical tasks.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, including prioritising tasks.
- Ability to encourage and inspire young people to achieve.
- Computer literate must have good ICT skills including a working knowledge of MS packages.
- Ability to work using own initiative, exercising good judgement where unsupervised.
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance of equipment.
