Stock Checker

KFF Foodservice (Part of Sysco GB) Depot in Aylesford are looking for a Stock Checker with excellent maths skills along with computer literacy. The role predominately consists of counting stock holding for multi-temp products across a variety of categories to ensure our waste figures meet KPI’s to balance the Company’s spend across availability and waste, ensuring profitability.

On a daily basis the Stock Checker ensures that the physical stock quantities match the available quantities on the system. This role requires someone with an ability to work under pressure and a ‘can do and will do’ attitude to deliver results on specific projects or activities as directed by either your line manager or KFF board. We will look to you to investigate stock discrepancies each day and update the system to ensure the stock levels are correct at all times so that the system accurately reflects our physical stock holding. As a team player you will assist both the stock control and goods in departments in adhoc counts when queries arise ensuring any damaged or waste product stock adjustments are captured accurately along with month end and year end counts as required.

You will be required to attend both formal and informal meetings to ensure that your line manager is kept updated on any opportunities or threats that could impact the business. They will rely upon you to provide the department with ongoing intelligence/data/information that can be used by other departments in order to make more informed decisions to support driving costs out of the business where possible. Having an understanding of legislation (H&S, Hygiene, BRC, etc) for a modern food business would be advantageous but not essential.
