CK Meats, based in Eye, near Diss is recruiting for people to join our growing business.
We are now recruiting for a new **Despatch Supervisor**. The remit will include assisting the Logistics Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the wider despatch team. Ideally suited to someone looking for career progression in despatch; you will ensure all products meet company requirements as well as the customer's individual packing requirements. You will also ensure all deliveries are provided on time and in full.

Role responsibilities include:*
- Organise and oversee that loads in and out are issued, unloaded and loaded correctly and on time
- Check daily outbound pick
- Check to ensure all inbound paperwork is completed correctly
- Ensure staff are aware of loading requirements and loading plans on a daily basis
- Manage the unloading and loading of goods to and from the site following company procedures
- Health and safety responsibilities, including safe condition and use of plant and equipment
- Housekeeping and cleanliness of facilities and equipment in the yard and loading bay
- Ensuring compliance with site rules
- Allocate work for the despatch team
- Constantly improving the efficiency and productivity of the despatch team
- Manage and oversee all aspects of recruitment and training and performance of the despatch team
- Work closely and communicate with internal and external customers to maintain business and customer service levels
- Manage, mentor and coach direct reports facilitating a culture of learning and personal ownership
**Qualifications and skills**:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Can evidence supervisory experience
- Numeracy skills, attention to detail, planning and organising skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office software such as Excel and Word
- Strong organisational skills
- Proven experience in change implementation where manufacturing standards are improved using lean methodology linked to the delivery of a quality-based culture
- Experience in coaching and mentoring a team to deliver results

Minimum 42.5 hours a week. Break times will consist of one, half-hour, unpaid break, to be taken during your shift.
