**IT Helpdesk Technician**
- Based in our waterfront Ipswich office, the purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting Gallagher Bassett’s IT infrastructure and internal systems. You will provide 1st line IT support, alongside continuous problem solving to drive improvementsand implement new processes, creation and maintenance of reports/platforms, and regular testing of software releases to ensure the correct process has been followed._

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1st line support for all IT infrastructure and internally developed systems
- Liaise with 2nd and 3rd line support staff in the resolution of support requests, escalating to wider scope Corporate IT teams where appropriate
- Assist with ensuring that infrastructure is optimally installed, maintained and operated.
- Assist with ensuring IT systems adhere to availability, performance and data integrity SLAs. Contribute to documentation of infrastructure systems
- Proactively identify enhancements to IT service offerings
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of reports and reporting platforms
- Assist with the testing and deployment of software releases ensuring that release processes are followed correctly
- Deployment, configuration and support of Microsoft operating systems
- Administration of Windows domains, Microsoft Exchange and software management solutions
- Basic network hardware configuration
- Administration of telephony systems
- Basic scripting in languages such as: BAT, VBScript and Powershell
- Some experience using web development languages
- Creating and maintaining detailed support documentation
