**We are looking for various shift positions and patterns**:
**2 days per week - 8am/9am till 2.30pm x 1 positions available (Monday/Tuesday)**

**2 days per week - 8am/9am till 2.30pm x 1 position available (Thursday/ Friday)**

**2 days per week - 2.30pm till 5.30pm/6pm x 2 positions available (Monday/ Tuesday and Thursday/ Friday)**

We operate with planned days and vary the activities based on the children’s preferences - no two days are the same

**Duties**
- Provide a warm, welcoming attitude to service users
- Engage with children through play, stories, singing, dancing and outdoor excursions.
- Provide administrative support to the manager
- Maintain excellent hygiene practice, following guidelines, procedures and policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records (training given)
- Provide support with the day-to-day care of children from newborn to 16 years
- Drop off to and/ or collect children from council nurseries, school and/ or home.
- Assist in preparing craft items, outdoor activity setup and planning documents (training given)
- Participate in parents night sessions and visits for potential service users
- Observe children playing and assist with noting their achievements (training given)
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of play zones and equipment (internal and external).
- Assist with safety protocols.
- We would prefer if any assistants would go on to obtain an SVQ3 in Child care, learning and development, which can be assessed in-house.

**Skills**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Able to think on your feet with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Prior experience in caring for children, either as life experience or in employment is essential

**Driving**

Driving licence is essential. You may be required to collect and drop off children at school or home in our vehicles. A clean driving licence is preferred.

**PVG Scheme Membership**

It is a requirement of your position that you hold PVG scheme membership. Any charges or convictions will affect your suitability. The Company will pay for the cost of your PVG and assist with registration.

**Probationary period**

The first three months of employment will be a probationary period.

**28 days Holiday (pro rata)**

Holidays are fixed for 20 days during the year when the business is closed with remaining 8 days to take as required in weekly increments with 1 month notice:
CLOSED 1 week in April - Easter holidays

CLOSED 1 Week in July - First week

CLOSED 1 Week in October - October break

CLOSED 1 Week Christmas - Between Xmas and New Year, and New Years Day

1 additional week kept open for personal selection with any remaining days to be taken as agreed.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
