Sea Freight Import Coordinator

Our client, a UK Freight and Logistics company are currently seeking a Sea Freight Import Coordinator for their team based in North Yorkshire.
As the Sea Freight Import Coordinator, you will be managing all Sea Freight deliveries from start-to-finish, raising the correct documentation and dealing with operational administration.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be liaising with clients, building and developing relationships to help maximise the potential of the business.
**Other duties of the Sea Freight Import Coordinator**:
- Liaising with suppliers, providing cost effective services to destinations worldwide
- Completing job files
- Calculating Freight quotations
- Sending invoices
The successful Sea Freight Import Coordinator will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the Freight Forwarding industry, with strong Sea Freight experience and strong negotiation skills.
Being a confident communicator; in person, on the phone and in writing are good attributes for this role.
**Experience required**:
- Experience calculating freight quotations
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel and databases
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Good commercial sense
