The Chill Chain Logistics Co-Ordinator will be required to run the daily operations (Logistics & Yard). Reporting directly to the Chill Chain Shift Manager they will be responsible for delivering against the daily operational plan and budgets. Optimise daily operational plan whilst ensuring all operations are fully compliant legally and in line with all HSE requirements. The role will be required to meet agreed SLA targets in the supply chain.- 40 hours a week- Weekly alternating shifts - 6am to 2pm and 2pm -10pm- Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining all relevant control process that ensure the on-time despatch of Routes
- HSE Compliance Safe by Choice not by Chance
- Stock management - Availability.
- Logistical productivity
- Quality control of documentation within the Chill Chain Logistical operation.
- Control to ensure all orders are dispatched On Time & In Full.
- Hygiene & Tidiness of all areas of influence
- To flag any issues to their Shift Manager where they think the operation may be impacted.
- Supporting the Chill Chain Manager in the delivery of Financial & Strategic targets in line with their PDP targets.
- Leading by example and promote a proactive H&S Culture and mind-set.
- Supporting the management deliver the functional and strategic goals.
- Skills and Requirements:
- Driver CPC -Desired
- Level 3 H&S desired but not essential
- Food Hygiene - Desired
- Ability to plan and meet deadlines.
- Computer Literate and familiar with spreadsheets, Databases and presentations
- Able to make decisions and take initiative in reacting to operational challenges as they arise.
- Possess a good knowledge of current transport and warehouse legislation is preferable but not essential.
- Proven ability in internal relationships management and staff motivation.
- Ability to manage potentially difficult situations and personnel (driver/warehouse shift changes production problems etc.)
- Versatile and flexible on hours to suit business needs and efficiencies.
- Willingness to participate in discussions and projects relating to operational policy.
- Undertake training to increase skills and levels of competencies.
- Able to embrace change, and pro-actively seek methods to improve the business and / or reduce costs
