Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

You will ensure the management of supplier quality concerns are concluded in a timely manner; you will participate and lead APQP activities; leading problem resolution and other continuous improvement initiatives and activities.
**Job role**:
- Lead supplier Quality Assurance activities within the supply chain including: PPAP, process audit and surveillance visits
- Lead all activities associated with specific non-conforming product containment incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring robust and rigorous problem resolution utilising such techniques as 8D, RCA etc
- Ensure the management of supplier concerns are concluded in a timely manner including verification and implementation of corrective actions
- Introducing and utilising a supplier scorecard system for implementing and driving continuous improvement in the supply chain
- Supporting the successful implementation and delivery of specific Advanced Production Quality Plans for product Introduction
- Work with suppliers to ensure collation and entry of IMDS related data into the OEM MDS system
**You’ll have**:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Proven experience gained in a manufacturing Supplier Quality environment, preferably in Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or similar sectors
- Degree or HNC equivalent in engineering, technical, or business-related discipline.
- Experience in the of business improvement tools and techniques (5s, Lean, Kaizen) and using APQP tools and techniques
- Knowledge of compiling and approving PPAP/FAIR submissions, construction, and use of PFMEA’s and Control Plans is essential
- Experience in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6 Sigma etc.) and techniques
- Proven knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, TS16949 (IATF16949), and ISO14001 to comply with company processes
- CQI IRCA audit qualification, or significant demonstrable audit experience in one of the aforementioned standards would be a distinct advantage
