**About us**

E3 delivers a wide portfolio of events ranging from its owned brands through to working on an event management basis for clients.

In addition to corporate and live (entertainment) projects, we have a strong presence in the challenge events sector (Brighton Half Marathon), food & drink festivals (The Gin Fest Co) and we produce the Brighton family pantomime.

Due to the growth and expansion of E3’s own festival brands, the company has developed a number of branded bar concepts and also operates some of the main bars on site within these events.

Reporting to the Directors, the focus of the role will be to successfully establish a stand-alone pop-up bars business for E3. This is a key role who will plan all elements of the E3 bars operation from agreeing the menu of drinks in each bar through to staffing them on-site.

**Key Responsibilities**

The following outlines the day-to-day duties.

This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to work flexibly and undertake other such duties as required for each project.

**Pre event**:

- Creating a project and timeline plan to cover all aspects of the E3 Bars/Retail business.
- Full budget management and reconciliation for each bar - income and expenditure.
- Develop the business from an operational, creative, and strategic approach.
- Responsible for developing our bar and retail brands and ensuring they have brand presence online and offline.
- Look for business development opportunities for the bars outside of our own events.
- Research the UK and international marketplace for ideal drinks partners and secure commercial trade deals with them.
- Responsible for all stock ordering and carrying out regular stock-takes.
- Together with our design team, creating an impactful brand identity for each bar, including signage, point of sale materials, uniform, and marketing assets.
- Compiling and ordering a complete kit list for each bar, including the bar structures.
- Recruit and train all staff for each bar.
- Research and propose all bar pricing with the management team.
- Complete risk assessments for each bar.
- Responsible for all transport and logistics relating to the bar’s operation.

**On site: (Direction element)**
- Onsite bars management, liaising with the event team and external contractors.
- Manage and assist with the set-up of each bar.
- Monitor and review of Health & Safety during build / set-up.
- Closely monitor the overall bars operation during the event and feedback any observations, problems and successes to the event team and produce a post event debrief and report.
- Identify areas for improvement / development.
- Agree all staff timings and scheduling, including breaks.
- Control the running of the bars on the day once the event goes live, ensuring that our bar teams deliver excellent customer service.

**Daily Office Responsibilities**
- Assist colleagues with issues pertinent to this job description, as appropriate.
- Build relationships with potential suppliers to increase the success of the business and future events.
- Obtaining quotes and attending site visits to scope out future projects.
- Work with colleagues as needed and within reasonable parameters to aid them in carrying out their duties, including logistics and direction.
- Be accountable for time and location during working hours.
- Undertake any other duties as required as the role develops.

The role of the Bars Coordinator is to understand and direct this business activity right from the initial concept stage through to the final delivery on site.

- Quick to interpret a commercial brief and what it needs to achieve success.
- Significant creative acumen in order to be able to create an impactful bars product.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to think logístically and practically.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in order to orchestrate internal departments, external resources and their responses.
- Commercial awareness for budget creation and management.
- Excellent time management skills involving the ability to estimate accurately the time required to complete projects.
