Tacp Trainee Podiatric Surgeon

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a trainee podiatric surgeon (fixed term post) as part of a podiatric surgical network in the south west of England, specifically in Swindon, Chippenham and Somerset.

As the podiatric surgery trainee, you will follow the syllabus of Huddersfield University in conjunction with your surgical placements over a three-year (3) period with the intention of completing Fellowship surgical examinations ultimately leading to fellowship of the Royal College of Podiatry and Masters of Podiatric Surgery.

Once completed, and meeting all performance expectations, the newly qualified Fellow will then commence their registrar training (Band 8a - Podiatric Registrar Job Description) with the expectation to complete the certificate of podiatric surgical training (CCPST) at Great Western Hospital. This registrar training must be completed within a full-time two-year (2) position as per the requirements of the total HEE funding envelop of the 5-year period.
