Paint Mixer

Established in 1987, Sanko Gosei UK is a first tier supplier in the automotive industry, producing both interior and exterior moulded, assembled and painted components, we currently have a recruitment need at our state of the art robotic paint plant Sanko Technical Coatings for a **Paint Mixer.**
- **Job Role**:_

To prepare paint components to all supplier verified specifications via the TDS (Technical data sheet) compliance.
- **Objectives**:_

1) To paint mix materials to the specified customer quality standard for outgoing internally produced products.

2) To support the technicians to supply all required paints on time in full.
- **Duties to be performed**:_

1) To perform paint mixing activities in line with the IATF 16949 quality standards.

2) To ensure that all paints are mixed correctly and supplied in line with customer schedules

3) To ensure all paints are thoroughly filtered and clean when applied to components.

4) To document and verify all mixed paint materials are to the specified TDS IE: Part number, batch number, mix ratio, viscosity, temperature, filtration, PH value etc.

5) To uphold immaculate 5s housekeeping practices within the paint kitchens and paint stores.

6) To ensure all paint stocks are well organized via the FIFO system to avoid any out-of-date obsolete materials, colour mis matches or poor paint performance issues.

8) To ensure all tools/equipment is calibrated, cleaned and maintain to a very high standard IE: Visc cups, rheometers, thermometer, weighing scales, agitators, stopwatch, mixing sticks etc.

9) Have knowledge of paint kitchen operational procedures including system fill and loading, agitation, lifters, filter changes, level gauges and top up procedures.
- **Qualifications/Experience**:_

1) To be able to perform this position effectively you must have experience preferably within the paint manufacturing industry.

2) Must have basic numeracy and literacy skills.

3) Willingness to undergo relevant training as and when required to further your skill base.
- **Hours of Work**:_

0830 - 1700 (Mon-Thurs)

0830 - 1530 (Fri)

At some point you will be asked to go onto shifts at which time the applicable shift premium will apply.
- **Overtime**:_

On completion of your full contracted hours any overtime worked will be x 1.5.

Friday night between 2200 and 0600 is x 2

£13.00 per hour

Must provide evidence of settlement status if you are an EU national.
