**The role**

As our new Early Careers Talent specialist you’ll play a key role in the engagement, education, attraction, recruitment and development of our head office entry level talent for the group. You’ll drive the new early careers talent strategy, and you’ll play a major part in both crafting and delivering that strategy so must have previous experience of this. You will ensure we create strong talent pipelines for our high-volume areas and that the career development pathways exist to nurture talent growth and progression in the business. You'll partner directly with business leaders and the wider People team to ensure our initiatives attract, build, and develop early talent, coordinating intakes of our entry level talent, graduates, work placements and apprentices. You’ll work autonomously as a true employer brand ambassador with a genuine passion for supporting people at the very start their career journey, using excellent project management capabilities and outstanding communicating and presentation skills.
This role will require you to be on site 4 days per week with 1 day working from home. This role can be either Manchester or London based.

**What you'll be doing**
- Develop and deliver our early careers resourcing and development strategy in partnership with our Talent Partners (across both talent acquisition and talent development) to enable the business to grow and develop this talent in the right areas to meet business needs
- Utilising the ATS system and LMS system as a central hub and ensuring all activity is updated and captured accurately
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, and other external partners to promote our early careers talent pathways and establish effective recruitment channels
- Creation of talent attraction marketing content and events specifically for the early talent market - measuring and analysing the success of any activity
- Ensure our outreach activities and recruitment processes are open and inclusive, working in close partnership with our D&I Manager
- Design and deliver an early talent onboarding program ensuring a smooth transition into their roles and establish an internal talent community for early talent to meet their needs
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and specialists to identify development opportunities and ensure positive employee experiences
- Collaborate seamlessly with talent and development partners to design / deliver / coordinate targeted development initiatives/content for early careers employees nurturing their growth and retention within the business
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our early careers hiring and talent development initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement in the early talent space
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in early careers recruitment and development, sharing this knowledge with the wider business and incorporating innovative approaches into our ways of working
- Guide and advise the business collaboratively on the transition from entry level roles, establishing successful development pathways in key areas with the talent development team
- Ensure an understanding of the Apprentice levy, identifying possible apprenticeship opportunities
- Maintaining data reporting and tracking metrics to share with various internal stakeholders

- Is an excellent written communicator with strong copy writing skills
- Has experience facilitating groups/workshops and able present to large audiences with a confident and engaging presenting style
- Understands inbound recruitment strategies across a variety of channels and the importance of building a compelling employer brand
- Has a sense of urgency and pace with a delivery focus, but is always able to see the bigger picture
- Has a team player attitude, and can demonstrate how they share and collaborate effectively to reach goals
- Able to think ahead and organise/plan effectively even in an ever-changing environment
