NHS Lanarkshire are looking to recruit full time, fixed term (12 months) Advanced Practitioner - Physiotherapist based in Carluke Community Health Centre within the Respiratory department.

The post holder will be an autonomous expert clinician working in a clinical specialist, whilst managing a clinical caseload of highly complex patients through expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning and discharge. You will be responsible for introducing new approaches to physiotherapy access and process increasing the focus on health promotion and self management. You will provide expert support and education for physiotherapists, health professionals, relatives and carers within and out with the service and will liaise with and refer to other social and health services to provide comprehensive patient management and optimise outcomes.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of clinical governance, evidence based practice and quality assurance in service area in conjunction with the care group lead and will implement research, audit and to develop a service that responds to national initiatives policies and clinical governance.

**Knowledge, Training and/or Experience required to do the job**
- First level Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent or equivalent masters in rehabilitation sciences leading to physiotherapy HPC registration.
- Current HPC Registration
- Education to/working towards/operating at Masters level
- Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
- Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within the speciality.
- Advanced observational and clinical assessment and reasoning skills
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
- Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic IT - e.g. word processing, use of internet, database management

**Please note**: It is essential the post holder be a car driver with valid driving Full UK or EU driver’s licence
